Shop and Social Support Service
Client: The Society of St Vincent de Paul
Location: Gunnedah, NSW (Kamilaroi Land)

This site combines a secondhand clothing store, counselling services and other activity space. The project aimed to bring together these different service in an integrated building that provided hub for the town. The consultation process involved extensive input from the leadership running the service and explored the use of locally harvested timber and climate appropriate heating and cooling. Key elements of the project are:
- different pathways into the building based on client usage
- a garden at the centre of the site as a point of cross over between groups
- economic construction systems
- the use of deck areas to provide shaded seating around the site
